Buddha is the one who walked the path of harsh realities leaving behind his princely luxuries (he was born as a prince in Shakya clan) to find answers to this mystic world and later succeeded by attaining enlightenment and now preaches his disciples the path of the enlightenment. As shown here, he sits in padmasana atop a large double lotus pedestal textured in gold and inlayed in bright and beautiful red and blue reconstituted stones of constant size and shape.
The copper colored brass statue, highlights the similar vibrant colored robe in a realistic animation form, draped over his body in its usual manner and decorated with contrasting floral patterns, imbibed all over in elegant distances. This sculpture is sculpted in awestruck display of color combinations. Left hand rests on the lap holding a delicately designed begging bowl identifying him to be the topmost and right held high in vitarka mudra of intellectual discussion and teaching. The smooth surface of this sculpture outspeaks the determined calmness on his face and the hair seem to be coiled naturally and evenly.
